A key technology to consider adopting, one which has received the most buzz to date, is “AI" or artificial intelligence. But what does it mean for managers and particularly those in human resources (HR) to implement AI? This webinar will guide you through an overview of AI, its various components, and the relevance for managing a workforce. Some current examples of AI use in key areas of HR practice will then be presented and discussed.  OBJECTIF The overall aim is to become aware of how AI can contribute to managing an “employee experience” both effectively and ethically.  FORMATRICE   Dr. Pamela Lirio (Ph.D., Desautels Faculty of Management - McGill University) Dr. Pamela Lirio  Associate Professor of HRM; School of Industrial Relations, Université de Montréal Lauréate du Prix d’excellence en enseignement 2018, Université de Montréal Dr. Lirio works in both English and French, teaching and researching on: global careers, workforce diversity, digital transformation in HR, and employee branding on social media.   During her global career, she has also held positions in finance, marketing and consulting in North America, Europe and Asia.  Dr. Lirio has recently published in MIT Sloan Management Review and in Gestion (HEC Montréal) on digital "worldsourcing" of talent. She is also a co-researcher in the l'Observatoire international sur les impacts sociétaux de l’IA et du numérique (OBVIA) focusing on artificial intelligence and the impact to "Industry 4.0, Work and Employment". Serving the HR community,  Dr. Lirio heads the Canadian delegation of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) — the largest association of HR professionals worldwide. She is currently a member of advisory committees to the recruiting school Les Sources Humaines and l’Ordre des conseillers en RH agrées (CRHA). Dr. Lirio is also a blogger for developments on AI, Digital HR, and the "future of work" on Twitter (@drpamelalirio) and Instagram (@shrmcanada).
